rEarth from McConkey Co. is a new line of 100% recycled plant containers made from water bottles (rPET). rEarth containers are sturdy, tear-resistant and comparable or superior to other plastics in strength, performance and price. Each is stamped with a Recycled Water Bottles stamp, so consumers know the container is rEarth recycled and recyclable. McConkey is on track to recycle 72 million water bottles a year. Plus, rEarth saves energy—the process uses 60% less energy than producing containers from new plastic.

Discus Tablets by OHP offers a unique approach to long-term insect control. As the tablet breaks down, it releases imidacloprid (active ingredient in Marathon), which is taken up systemically by the roots and translocated throughout the plant. A starter 12-9-4 fertilizer charge aids in uptake. The controlled-release effect results in long-term control of sucking and chewing insects on ornamentals grown in greenhouses and field and container nurseries. Tablets may provide up to two years control on production ornamentals. It’s also been shown to improve plant health of newly established seedlings, containerized trees and shrubs, and newly planted herbaceous ornamentals.
