Sebert’s headquarters is visible testimony to sustainability. LEED Gold-certified, it features a 6,500 sq. ft. green roof and adjacent rooftop patio (which they offer for off-site meetings), permeable paver parking lot, reclaimed wood interior, bioswale, and enough energy saving features to cut their power and natural gas use to one-quarter the previous level.

Their lawnmower fleet is being converted over to propane, to cut emissions. And they’re moving over to battery powered hand tools, like string trimmers, hedge trimmers and blowers. What is extra cool is the trailers are equipped with a solar panel on the roof and a full charging station inside, so the whole unit is self-sufficient, keeping the Husqvarna and Stihl equipment ready to run.

We all like to say that “We are the original green industry.” Sebert is practicing it.

What is the cost? This set up vs the gas set up?

How long does the electrical equipment last vs the gas?

I'm love the idea if it cuts cost, just trying to find out what the total cost comparison would be over 5 years with the different set up factoring in fuel savings, equipment cost & replacement, etc....

Thank You!
