Findings from email marketing services provider Campaigner, as reported by eMarketer, showed that customers typically make a purchase within two days of signing up for a retailer’s emails. More than 50% of the retailers surveyed say customers purchase something a week or sooner after signing up for emails. However, a survey from First Insight found that two-thirds of consumers receiving at least five emails a week from retailers felt they were getting too many.
