Wedding Day Color Palette
Ellen C. Wells
Brides-to-be sweat the details when it comes to the colors accenting her impending nuptials. There’s no doubt she’ll turn to the hundreds of online resources on the topic, all of whom reference Pantone, the worldwide leader in color trends.
So, what does the color authority see as the trend for Spring 2015, when the wedding season hits its stride? There’s a move toward cooler, softer tones, a trend that Pantone calls “en plein air,” or in the open air. These colors take their cues from nature to give one a place to escape from the often-artificial life we’ve created around us.
Pairing the accompanying plants with dress, tablescape and accessory color is key for a just-right wedding. Get to know what colors are hot and what plants will fill the bill when it comes to matching.
