McDonalds: Consumers Aren’t “Lovin’ It”

For the twentieth straight year, McDonald’s has ranked last in the American Customer Satisfaction Index in the fast food or “limited service” restaurant category. The index is based on the opinions of 4,572 customers of 12 fast food chains. There was a two-way tie for first place: Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, followed by Little Caesar and Domino’s Pizza in a second-place tie. Reasons cited for McDonald’s poor performance include its sheer size and, therefore, diverse customer base, which includes many kids—and unfortunately, for McDonald’s, kids aren’t surveyed.
