Another Class of EAGLs Takes Flight

Dr. Charlie Hall, Ellison Chair for International Floriculture at Texas A&M, is proud to announce the graduation of the fourth cohort of his elite “EAGL” business leaders—Executive Academy for Growth & Leadership. Nine industry leaders received their continuing education certificate in Applied Horticultural Business Management from Texas A&M on Thursday, February 2.

The EAGL program is a public-private partnership specializing in strategic business skills for commercial horticulture. It’s an intense and personalized nine-month long, multi-module curriculum designed to improve the competitive position and profitability of the participants’ companies.

The fourth EAGL class is:

Bart Olson (Olson’s Greenhouses, Utah and Colorado)
Rich Hesselein (Pleasant Run Nursery, New Jersey)
Chad Olson (Olson’s Greenhouses, Utah and Colorado)
Bill Jones (Carolina Native Nursery, North Carolina)
Steve Sloan (ColorPoint Greenhouses, Kentucky)
Tom Knezick (Pinelands Nursery, New Jersey)
Bradd Yoder (Star Roses & Plants, Pennsylvania)
Daryl Kobesky (Pleasant Run Nursery, New Jersey)

Program partners StandPoint (Kip Creel) and MonkeyBar Management (Kellee O’Reilly and Corey Bordine) were on hand to congratulate the graduates.

The fifth EAGL class is accepting applications now (just four seats remain) and will begin their curriculum in June.
