AIPH Names Grower-of-the-Year Finalists

The International Association of Horticultural Producers has announced growers who’ve reached the finals of AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards (IGOTY) 2017.

The nine ornamental growers represent Belgium, China, Colombia, Denmark, The Netherlands, Russia and the UK. They’ll compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze in three categories—Cut Flowers, Young Plants, and Finished Plants and Trees. The three Gold winners will compete for the title “AIPH Grower of the Year.”

Here are the finalists:
Cut Flowers
Flores El Capiro S.A.—Colombia
Van den Berg Roses—The Netherlands
LLC TK-Podosinki—Russia

Young Plants
Beijing Nabobay Horticultural Co., Ltd.—China
Graff Kristensen A/S—Denmark

Finished Plants and Trees
Boterdaele Erik bvba—Belgium
Gui Zhou Miaofu Urban Horticulture Co. Ltd.—China
Boomkwekerij Ebben B.V.—The Netherlands
Bransford Nurseries—UK

Last year, the awards were held Thursday night of IPM Essen in the Messe Essen. This year, they’ll be Tuesday night, January 24, before the start of the show, and about 10 minutes away at the Colosseum Theatre.
