IPPS Eastern Region Conference Honors Ron Strasko

Ron Strasko, owner of Creek Hill Nursery in Leola, Pennsylvania, was presented with the Fellow Award at the IPPS Eastern Region annual conference. The award was created to acknowledge outstanding members of the IPPS Eastern Region, who’ve contributed to the advancement of the Society and to the field of plant propagation and production. Ron has been an IPPS Eastern Region member since 1987, served as a Director to the Eastern Region Board from 2003 to 2005, and is currently the Second Vice President on the Board of Directors. Ron has published in the IPPS Proceedings on ornamental grasses and tip cuttings, and has three plant patents for ornamental grasses.

Ron founded Creek Hill Nursery in Leola, Pennsylvania in 1990. It’s a liner production company, which specializes in cell-pack starters of herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and deciduous woody plants. They’re also known for having pioneered the use of modular systems for live roof installations. GT
