Fides Guatemala Earns MPS-GAP Certificate

Fides Guatemala S.A. recently earned the MPS-GAP certificate, in addition to an MPS-ABC certificate for sustainability. Of all the certifications that MPS offers, they say the MPS-GAP certification is the fastest growing. Growers who go for the MPS-GAP certificate should already have the sustainability certificate, MPS-ABC. Then, with MPS-GAP, a social component is added. It’s based on (and benchmarked against)
GLOBALG.A.P, which is a well-known certification for supermarkets in Europe.

Now when the customers of Fides Guatemala, part of the Dümmen Group, purchase cuttings, they’ll qualify for bonus points in the MPS system because they source “certified parental material.” GT
