De Vroomen Holland Garden Products
De Vroomen Holland is introducing four distinctive new Oriental Poppies to the U.S. market for 2010. One of these new varieties, Papaver orientale Paradiso artfully combines colors and structure in a mass of distinctively gorgeous flowers. Strong stems hold delicately colored pale pink flowers that are set off with red spots instead of black. The petals have a sturdy, less crinkled form and open fully to give the flowers a cleanly rounded shape. This floriferous variety grows to 26 in. tall and blooms May to June.

Green Fuse Botanicals
Gumdrop Coco Rose and Coco White (pictured) join Green Fuse Botanicals’ (formerly Bodger Botanicals) Gumdrop Begonias series for 2009-2010. Unlike the current, green-leafed Gumdrops, both Coco varieties feature chocolate-colored leaves serving as a wonderful backdrop to the fully double, profuse blooms. Coco Rose and Coco White are both extremely heat tolerant. The Gumdrop Begonias series is wonderfully versatile, easy to grow, heat tolerant, and floriferous with outstanding garden performance. Excellent for use in pots, baskets and combinations.
Growers Supply
Economically grow fruits, vegetables and flowers in any climate, all year round with the Passive Solar-Heated Greenhouse. This solar-designed greenhouse has an 8-ft. direct-gain Water Wall that captures and absorbs the daytime sun, releasing it back at nighttime, drastically cutting energy usage and costs. All units are 22 ft. 8 in. wide by 14 ft. 7 in. tall and are constructed from heavy-duty, 14-gauge, 1.90-in. OD Allied Gatorshield structural steel tubing. Top covering is exclusive double-layer, 4-year, 6-ml greenhouse film, with inflation fan kit for superior heat retention.

Haaga Great Lakes
The Haaga 670 Electric Sweeper Machine functions as a manual or electric sweeper. This model consists of a three-brush electric double-sweeping system that is ideal for greenhouse and nursery cleaning. The 670 Electric Sweeper cleans wet or dry, both large and small debris, and can be used for indoor and outdoor operations. Haaga machines are industrial grade, lightweight, and feature ergonomic handle and grips. These space-saving sweepers also include a four-year brush warranty. German engineered and designed with U.S. parts and service support.
Hanna Instruments Inc.
The HI 5000 Mini Fertigator is an all-in-one, ready-to-use control system. The Mini Fertigator is compact and versatile, bringing precision nutrient and acid control to professional growers. It’s easy to install and comes completely pre-assembled. To inject nutrients, it uses a venturi so there are no high-maintenance peristaltic pumps to worry about. Hanna’s Blackstone pump (included) can handle full-strength acid, and the flat-tipped probes are also highly resistant to fouling and clogging. The automated dosing feature allows growers to optimize growth without spending half the time measuring, mixing and dosing.

PanAmerican Seed Co.
Serena Angelonia is the first-ever seed-grown angelonia. Grow these compact, no-pinch plants tight in premium packs and larger containers, and send bulky, well-branched plants to market. This carefree, continuous bloomer is well-suited to landscapes, gardens and mixed containers, and withstands anything summer can dish out. Serena Angelonia’s upright mounding habit grows 12 to 14 in. wide by 10 to 12 in. tall. Available in four eye-catching colors that includes Lavender, Lavender Pink (pictured), Purple and White, plus one mix. GT
