St. Lynn’s Press recently published two new titles related to gardening:
- “The Cancer Survivor’s Garden Companion: Cultivating Hope, Healing and Joy in the Ground Beneath Your Feet,” by Jenny Peterson, a breast cancer survivor. This book tells Jenny’s story and explores the therapeutic benefits of the earth connection, including inspiring profiles of other cancer survivors, both men and women, whose gardens became their partners in healing. Jenny shows others how to create their own backyard haven for healing—a personal restorative garden—with advice about diet, exercise, mental focus and spiritual renewal.
- “Good Berry Bad Berry: Who’s Edible, Who’s Toxic and How to Tell the Difference,” by Helen Yoest. This handy, 112-page guide provides full-color positive IDs for 40 noteworthy and widely found berries across North America.
