Bob Hartman to Lead National Prime Source Marketing

Retailers will find a familiar face at the head of marketing for National Prime Source, a national distribution and logistics company. Bob Hartman joined NPS in June to lead the marketing efforts and manage key accounts. Bob previously worked for The Espoma Company as vice president of marketing and The Scotts Company as director of marketing.

“When Scotts awarded NPS the distribution rights for independent retailers and regional chains earlier this year, we knew we had to bring in someone who was familiar with both the Scotts products, as well as having the experience to deal with the dichotomy across multiple channels,” says Lindsey Chesbrough, president of National Prime Source. “Bob already knows the customer base and our speed to market will be greatly accelerated.”

Effective October 1, Scotts will service independent retailers and regional chains through an exclusive distribution arrangement with National Prime Source and its affiliated distributors, which are still being finalized. So far, NPS currently uses Arett Sales Corp., BWI Companies, Inc., L&L Supply, Inc. and VG Supply, Inc. to supply the lawn and garden channel. GP
