Jennifer Polanz
The first three All-America Selections winners for 2016 were announced July 1: Bunching Onion Warrior (regional—Mountain/Southwest, Southeast); Radish Sweet Baby (regional—Great Lakes, Southeast) and Mizuna Red Kingdom (national winner).
[1] Not just a great name,
Bunching Onion Warrior also grows quickly and matures early, producing a uniform crop of slender, crisp onion stalks. Bred by Seeds by Design.

Radish Sweet Baby, bred by Asia Seed Co., Ltd., impressed judges with its exterior quality, uniform size and excellent taste, which they described as crispy, crunchy and slightly spicy.

Mizuna Red Kingdom (Japanese mustard) is a new addition to AAS. “Judges noted how the color was a vibrant reddish-purple all through the season and suggested that this flavorful, mild-tasting green is an edible that can also be used in containers or in the landscape.” Bred by Asia Seed Co., Ltd.
