Armitage’s New App

Dr. Allan Armitage has developed a new app for Android and iPhone called Armitage’s Greatest Perennials & Annuals. In the app, Allan selects his favorite annuals and perennials, and lets users know why he chose them, as well as provides hints for success in the home landscape. iPhone users can filter annuals or perennials and select sun, shade or USDA zones. Numerous photos and videos supplement the plant-specific information.

For retailers, the app also features an index of independent garden centers nationwide to help drive plant sales at the independent level. Only independents are featured in the index.

The app can be recommended to customers, but it also can be used in the garden center as an educational tool for newer employees. GP
