The Home Depot Hires 80,000 for Spring

The Home Depot, which has more than 2,200 stores across the United States, said it would hire 80,000 seasonal employees for spring, according to a report in USA Today. Spring is the peak hiring season for Home Depot and some will be asked to stay on permanently after the season has ended. The chain employs about 340,000 people and anticipates a busy spring in light of projected increases in housing starts and repairs on existing homes after the harsh winter. Meanwhile, HD’s biggest competitor, Lowe’s, is anticipating hiring 25,000 seasonal employees this spring. GP
